      Final Project

The goal of the final project was to depict the character in a suitable pose along with proper lighting. Since slight retouching of the character in Photoshop was allowed, I decided to set aside the lighting issues in Blender for the time being and focus on the pose first.

After finishing and submitting my work, I created the staff for the character I planned to use for the resubmission.

Then, I started setting up the character’s pose. However, the process took a long time and didn’t work properly, so I ended up manually adjusting the pose myself.

After adjusting the pose, I made slight edits to the lighting and shadow areas in Photoshop.

      REFLECTION

      Experience

The final assignment of setting the last pose was relatively simple since most of the time-consuming and detailed parts were already completed in Projects 1 and 2. However, setting the pose kept causing unexpected errors, so I had to manually adjust it by switching between edit mode and sculpt mode.

      Observations

Initially, I tried using Armature, but the loading screen kept appearing without making any progress. Despite repeated attempts during class, it didn’t work. I then tried using the pose brush, but the face set wouldn’t function properly either. In the end, I had to manually set the pose in edit mode. Since I was running out of time and spent too much of it on posing, I couldn’t create a high-quality pose.

      Findings

This issue seems to have occurred because I still lack proficiency in Blender. As a result, I spent too much time trying to use Armature. Even in edit mode, every time I moved the arms or legs, the system took around two minutes to load, which significantly slowed me down. I regret not being able to work faster or create a better pose.
